Coastal Speed Türkiye Cup kicks off in Çanakkale

The Beach Sprint Turkish Cup, organized by the Turkish Rowing Federation, began with the qualifying rounds in Çanakkale.

Approximately 250 athletes from 20 clubs across Türkiye are participating in the race held on the Yeni Kordon Beach.

The races are held in women's, men's and mixed teams, in under-19 and adult age categories, and in single sculls and double sculls classes.

In the competition, athletes board their boats from the beach, row a 500-meter course, then return to the beach and cross the finish line.

The quarter-finals of the organization will be held tomorrow, while the semi-finals and finals will be held on August 3.
