Windows 10 is becoming history! Urgent warning to millions of users

Microsoft is ending official support for Windows 10 on October 14th. After this date, the software will no longer receive technical support, bug fixes, or security updates. The company warned users to take immediate action.
According to the Daily Mail, around 21 million people in the UK alone are still using Windows 10. This increases the risk of millions of devices being targeted by hackers.
Microsoft announced that compatible devices can upgrade to Windows 11 for free. However, many older PCs are incompatible with the new operating system. These users will be able to receive limited security patches for the next 12 months by enrolling in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
PERSONAL DATA IS AT RISK
The program is available for free or for £24.99 for individuals. Commercials will pay £58 per device. However, this support will end completely on October 13, 2026.
Cybersecurity experts warn that users who don't update their systems could be putting their personal data at risk. A quarter of Windows 10 users don't plan to upgrade to Windows 11, according to a survey by Which? magazine.
E-waste charity The Restart Project says that once support ends, approximately 400 million computers worldwide could become inoperable, representing more than 700 million kilograms of electronic waste.
The organization argues that Microsoft could reduce this waste by extending the update period. Microsoft has been requested to comment on the matter.
