The final excitement of the TEKNOFEST Vertical Landing Rocket Competition has begun.

The competition, organized by TÜBİTAK SAGE, is the world's first Vertical Landing Rocket Competition powered by a Cold Gas Propulsion System. The competition aims to provide students with information about "Rocket Propelled Landing Systems," which are part of Turkey's technological advancement roadmap for the next 10 years, and to foster the ability to design teams with members who possess knowledge and experience across various disciplines.

Before the final round of the competition, teams undergo a three-stage evaluation: a Preliminary Design Report (PDR), a Critical Design Report (CDR), and a Launch Preparation Report (LPR). To be considered successful in the final round, teams must utilize a cold gas propulsion system for vertical-landing rockets; achieve a soft landing (touchdown speed less than 0.2 m/s), land vertically at the target area, and maintain rocket integrity.

In the Vertical Landing Rocket Competition, the first prize will be 250,000 TL, the second prize will be 200,000 TL and the third prize will be 150,000 TL.
