ŞİMŞEK Successfully Tested with Its New Abilities

Defense Industries President Haluk Görgün, in his statement on his social media account, provided information about the new test of the ŞİMŞEK platform.

Görgün noted the following:

"Our defense industry has added a new critical capability. Developed by TAI, the ŞİMŞEK K, with its rocket-assisted takeoff system (RATO), took off from the ground for the first time, gaining the ability to be used in both target aircraft and kamikaze missions.

This step is a concrete demonstration of technologies developed entirely through national resources that increase our operational flexibility and strengthen our deterrent. We continue on our path with our determination to develop innovative solutions for future defense needs.
