Scandal at famous clothing store: Thousands of people's information leaked

The Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) announced that Louis Vuitton Çantacılık Ticaret A.Ş. experienced a data breach in Türkiye. According to a public statement on the KVKK's official website, 142,995 people residing in Türkiye were affected by the breach.
According to the statement, the data breach began on June 7, 2025, and was detected on July 2, 2025. The breach was reportedly caused by unauthorized access to a database containing Louis Vuitton customer data. This access was reportedly the result of the compromise of a service account belonging to the administrator of a third-party service provider.
The KVKK announced that the group of people affected by the breach included customers and potential customers, and that the leaked data included identity and contact information. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
