Profile photo feature is changing on WhatsApp
WhatsApp has begun testing a notable new profile photo feature with its latest iOS beta update. This feature strengthens integration between Meta's apps, allowing users to import profile photos from Facebook and Instagram directly into WhatsApp.
The feature, first seen in the Android beta (2.25.21.23), has now been rolled out to iOS beta (25.21.10.74). This move is part of Meta's strategy to create a more consistent user experience across its apps.
Previously, WhatsApp users had to go through a cumbersome process to add photos from Facebook or Instagram to their profiles. They had to find the photo, download it or take a screenshot, then return to WhatsApp and crop it manually.
WILL BE INTEGRATED TO EACH OTHERThis process is eliminated with the new feature. Thanks to the "Import from Facebook" and "Import from Instagram" options added to the profile photo change menu, users will be able to import their current profile photos from other platforms into WhatsApp with a single tap.
This innovation will provide great convenience and time savings for users who want to protect their digital identity consistently across all social platforms.
