Nightmare at the hospital! He went in complaining of abdominal pain and was unable to walk.

Aytaç Öztürk, a 40-year-old employee at a local newspaper in Zonguldak, went to Atatürk State Hospital Emergency Room on August 27th complaining of abdominal pain. According to Öztürk, he was given a painkiller injection in his left hip without any further examination and was subsequently discharged. However, Öztürk soon began experiencing severe pain in his left leg, and when the pain became unbearable, he was taken by ambulance to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Hospital on August 31st.
FOOT DROP SYNDROMEWhen brought to BEUN Hospital, Öztürk was unable to walk and had swelling in his leg, and his leg was placed in a cast. Following tests, he was diagnosed with foot drop syndrome. After receiving treatment at the Brain and Nerve Surgery Department for 23 days, Öztürk was discharged and issued an incapacity report by October 24th. After filing a criminal complaint with the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
"NEITHER BLOOD TESTS NOR X-RAYS WERE TAKEN"Stating that the treatment process continues despite being discharged from the hospital, Aytaç Öztürk explained the process he went through with the following words:
On the evening of August 28th, I went to Atatürk State Hospital complaining of abdominal pain. There, I was given a painkiller injection. However, no blood tests or X-rays were taken. My abdomen was simply touched, and the doctor referred me for an injection, saying, "I have gas pains." Two days after the injection, I started experiencing swelling in my foot. The pain was coming from my hip. I was unable to put any weight on my foot. Naturally, they rushed me from home to Bülent Ecevit University Hospital by ambulance. I was hospitalized for 23 days and am currently incapacitated. I'm on sick leave until October 24th. A report was issued from there. Of course, this reveals the consequences of the incorrectly administered injection. I went to the public prosecutor's office and filed a criminal complaint.
"I WALK WITH A CANDLE"Öztürk, emphasizing the seriousness of his condition, said, "The report said he had foot drop due to the wrong injection. Many people develop foot drop after receiving the injection. Time will tell whether mine is permanent or not. I'm currently hopping around, using a cane."
HEALTH DIRECTORATE STARTED INVESTIGATIONFollowing the incident, the Zonguldak Provincial Health Directorate has reportedly launched an investigation. Authorities have announced that an investigator has been assigned to conduct the investigation, and that necessary action will be taken based on the results.
