From startup to global giant. This company knows how to do it, and it's helping others.

- Selected participants of this year's edition of the PFR School of Pioneers will benefit from mentoring support from experts from Glovo.
- The best projects will be awarded an invitation to participate in subsequent editions of the Glovo Startup Campus program.
- The European Union needs to catch up with the US in the technological arena. According to Sacha Michaud, co-founder of the company, it should do so within three pillars.
"Selected participants of this year's edition of the PFR School of Pioneers will benefit from mentoring support from Glovo experts, and the best projects will be additionally rewarded with an invitation to participate in subsequent editions of the Glovo Startup Campus program, opening the way to further development and cooperation with the global leader in the delivery market," Glovo informs.

Glovo is an EU company founded in Barcelona. It's worth remembering that Europe faces a real challenge competing with other regions of the world , especially the United States, which has significantly greater financial resources and likely currently has better access to talent .
For Europe to continue to develop, action is needed on three pillars. " First and foremost, we should rely on talent ," Sacha Michaud, co-founder of Glovo, told participants at the Glovo Startup Campus.
Another element highlighted by the entrepreneur is capital . In many countries, it is limited. The final element hindering the EU's economic development is the regulations that should accompany the creation of companies in Europe.
"On our continent, we encounter all these obstacles and blockages because regulations are not advanced. I think the United States has definitely made progress in this area. In China, on the other hand, it's hard to believe that the lack of regulations actually gives entrepreneurs a level playing field to test new solutions," Michaud emphasized.
Glovo is competing in the e-commerce market for instant delivery. This means shortening delivery times from, say, 48 hours, which was achievable and acceptable for suppliers just a few years ago, to 30 minutes.
As part of its global operations, Glovo has 180,000 local partners and approximately 100,000 active couriers delivering parcels in the markets where the company operates . Glovo also employs 3,000 people across its global offices, half of whom are based at its headquarters in Barcelona.
Glovo shares its technology development experience with startups through its NetCampus program, which has already attracted around 100 young companies . Over the past three years, 40 startups have already participated in the mentoring program in Barcelona.
Polish start-ups also want to develop with the help of GlovoAs part of its collaboration with the PFR School of Pioneers, Glovo invited two participants from previous editions to participate in the Glovo Startup Campus: Mirella Kłosińska, founder of the startup Wayde, an artificial intelligence-based platform for brands seeking influencer collaborations, and Łukasz Kopiński from RibesTech, who creates technological solutions that support, among other things, more sustainable agriculture.
Łukasz Kopiński, president of Ribes Tech, described his company's activities to the CIS.
"For several seasons now, we have been perfecting and introducing to the market a solution for pest detection in fruit bush plantations using an autonomous, electric mobile platform. Our solution involves spraying only in areas where pests are present on the bushes, using spot spraying. By reducing pesticide use by 50 percent, we control these pests ," he said.
- We are also moving towards biological preparations to combat pest colonies on berry bushes, i.e. soft fruits such as currants, blueberries, raspberries, and blueberries, in a way that is as least burdensome to the surroundings and the environment as possible, this is what we specialize in - concluded the entrepreneur.
