A gym in Aydın was shot up! Gang leader arrested, 4 released

The incident occurred at two different branches of the same gym in the Mimar Sinan and Orta neighborhoods of Aydın. The two gyms were attacked with guns on August 21 and 23.

The situation was reported to police. Police began an investigation to identify the suspects and began reviewing security camera footage.

Having identified the suspects, police teams took action. During operations conducted at designated addresses, Devrim O., Ayaz Taş (27), Muhammed Can T. (25), and Samet Ağaç (25) were detained. Following processing at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse. Ayaz Taş and Samet Ağaç were arrested, while Devrim O. and Muhammed Can T. were released.

The gym in Orta Mahalle was hit by gunfire again on September 2nd. Following this attack, Semih B., the alleged gang leader, along with Berzan D. (24), Emir Can Y. (23), and Muhammet Can T. (24), were detained. The four suspects were referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station. Efforts to apprehend the other suspects, Muhammed Can T. and Yusuf G., are reportedly ongoing.

Of the four suspects who were detained on suspicion of carrying out an armed attack on a branch of a gym operating in the Efeler district of Aydın and referred to the courthouse after their procedures, Semih Bagana, alleged to be the leader of the gang, was arrested, while BD, MCT and ECY were released on probation.
