Vice President Yilmaz met with Turkish businesspeople in Kyrgyzstan

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz is continuing his contacts in Kyrgyzstan, where he is attending the 12th Session of the Turkey- Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Commission (KEK). Yılmaz spoke at the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) Turkish Business World Meeting held in the capital, Bishkek. Vice President Yılmaz stated that Kyrgyzstan's 2030 development program has laid out its vision to become a regional power in logistics, strengthen industrial clusters, prioritize tourism and agriculture, and become a leader in the green economy. He said, "For over 30 years, our brotherly Kyrgyzstan has been striving to chart its own path as an independent state. The progress made in this process is commendable. However, I also want to emphasize that this potential must be raised to much higher levels in the coming period."
Yılmaz noted that the inter-ministerial working group established to resolve issues faced by companies between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey is a clear indication of the Kyrgyz side's interest in Turkish companies. He said, "This mechanism has resolved the problems of many of our companies. We hope this mechanism will continue to function effectively in the coming period. Today's meeting will have the feel of a family council. The assessments, comments, problems, and suggestions that our companies will express to us here are extremely valuable to us. We will share the ideas you will put forward with our Kyrgyz counterparts in a suitable environment."
Vice President Yılmaz also addressed the 12th Turkey-Kyrgyzstan KEK Meeting, expected to be held tomorrow, saying, "We expect all of you to participate in the business forum we will be holding tomorrow. Every investment and project you undertake is a contribution to the prosperity and future of not only you, but also Türkiye and our brotherly Kyrgyzstan. I want to express that all our institutions, under the guidance of our leaders, stand with you on this path."
Cevdet Yılmaz later shared on his social media account, "Our companies, which have undertaken approximately $2 billion in investments and 95 projects worth nearly $1 billion, are the locomotive of Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan economic relations. "In line with the $5 billion trade volume target set by our Presidents, we will continue to support our private sector in resolving the challenges it faces and realizing new opportunities," he said.
