Qatar: We are preparing to retaliate against Israel's treacherous attack

Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majid al-Ansari strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements following the attack on Doha. Ansari, who holds a weekly press conference in Doha, stated that Netanyahu is trying to justify his failures. "We are used to the Israeli Prime Minister trying to interpret and justify his own failures after every failure he experiences due to his reckless policies," Ansari said. "So, his message came through in this way."
Addressing Netanyahu, Ministry Spokesperson Ansari said, “We also want to convey the message that Qatar cannot continue to violate international law without being held accountable.” Ansari reiterated that Qatar is currently focused on responding to the heinous Israeli attack and holding those responsible accountable.
Ansari stated that the decision taken at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit held in Doha on September 15 emphasized the unacceptability of any attack on Qatar for Arab and Islamic countries. Ansari noted that the decision, taken at the extraordinary session of the Gulf Cooperation Council High Council held on the same day, contained clear measures against the attack, and that this message of solidarity resonated internationally.
Referring to Qatar's mediation for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Ansari said, "This does not seem realistic at the moment, especially since the Israeli Prime Minister wants to kill everyone who negotiates with him and bomb the mediating country."
Netanyahu reportedly escalated his verbal attacks against Qatar following the attack. The Israeli Prime Minister claimed that Qatar has ties to Hamas, that it supports, finances, and hosts it. He also claimed that Al Jazeera viewers witnessed anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism.
Citing a UN Security Council resolution passed after the September 11 attacks, Netanyahu argued that countries that provide refuge to terrorists could also be targeted. He claimed that the attacks on Qatar were carried out to prevent Hamas from finding refuge.
On September 9, Israel attacked the building housing the Hamas negotiating team in Doha, killing six people: the son of Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, four Hamas members, and a Qatari police officer. Following the attack, Netanyahu issued new threats to Qatar.
