President Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy

President Erdoğan spoke on the phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Erdoğan said, "Following the completion of the meetings between the delegations, holding meetings at the level of leaders will benefit the peace process."

During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine, regional and global developments were discussed. President Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue to work to ensure a just and lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia , that Turkey is in favor of continuing the talks that started in Istanbul between the delegations of the two countries, and that he is pleased that the prisoner exchange agreed upon during the talks in Istanbul was realized in a short time.
"TAKING THE CEASE-FIRE WILL PAVE THE ROAD TO PEACE"Our President stated that discussing a possible ceasefire in the second round of talks planned to be held in Istanbul would pave the way for peace, and that the participation of both countries in the meeting with strong delegations was important for the continuation of the momentum provided on the path to peace.
President Erdoğan stated that holding meetings at the leadership level after the completion of the meetings between delegations would be beneficial to the peace process and that he believed this should be done without too much delay.
