Muhittin Böcek's daughter-in-law, Zuhal Böcek, was sent to prison.

A new development has emerged in the bribery investigation launched by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Zuhal Böcek, the daughter-in-law of Muhittin Böcek, who was suspended from his position as Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, has been arrested.
It was reported that HA, the nephew of former Deputy Metropolitan Municipality Mayor M.A., jeweler KA and businessman B.Ç., who were detained together with Zuhal Böcek, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station were completed.
Zuhal Böcek, one of the suspects referred to the courthouse, was arrested. The other suspects, HA, KA, and B.Ç., were released after questioning by the prosecutor.
In an operation previously carried out under the coordination of the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek and his former daughter-in-law ZK were detained.
It was determined that Böcek's son, MGB, who was a suspect in the same file, was abroad.
Muhittin Böcek, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested, while his former daughter-in-law ZK was released on probation and a travel ban was imposed on her.
Following these developments, Muhittin Böcek was suspended from his post by the Ministry of Interior.
Following the investigation, Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Serkan Temuçin and Tuncay Kaya, who worked in the Department of Urban Aesthetics, were arrested on charges of extortion. IT support worker Halil K. was released on probation and house arrest.
It was reported that Zuhal Böcek was apprehended at Antalya Airport on July 27th upon returning from abroad and taken into custody on charges of "laundering the value of assets derived from crime." HA, KA, and B.Ç., who were also detained with her, were taken to the police department the following day.
