Minister Işıkhan reacted strongly to Israel's attacks

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan assessed Turkey's economic and social achievements in his speech at the Turkey Century Meetings held in Burdur. Işıkhan stated that over 60 billion lira has been invested in Burdur in 23 years under the AK Party's rule, covering everything from education and healthcare to transportation and the workforce. Işıkhan noted that the number of active insured individuals in the city has increased by 71 percent, reaching 80,000, and that they have helped more than 70,000 citizens find employment since 2002.
Minister Işıkhan announced that, according to 2024 labor force data, the employment rate in Burdur is 52 percent, the unemployment rate is 4 percent, and the labor force participation rate is 54.1 percent. Işıkhan noted that these figures are higher than the national average and congratulated both employers and employees. He emphasized that the state covers the general health insurance of 11,732 people in Burdur.
Işıkhan also assessed the Turkish economy's growth data, stating that 4.8 percent growth was recorded in the second quarter of the year, a success that has continued uninterrupted for 20 quarters. Işıkhan noted that the number of unemployed decreased by 164,000 to 2,828,000, and that the unemployment rate fell to 8 percent. He also noted that the number of employed people reached 32,582,000, while the youth unemployment rate fell to 15 percent.
Işıkhan also commented on Israel's attacks, stating that these actions, which disregard human rights and international law, have reached a level that could have serious consequences for the region and the world . Işıkhan noted that Israel is acting as if it were preparing its own demise, emphasizing that Turkey is stronger than ever under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's leadership.
Işıkhan stated that there are groups disturbed by Türkiye's attainment of power and the progress it has made in its defense industry. He noted that there are those both domestically and internationally who are trying to hinder Türkiye's progress, saying, "In this period, we must stand together, united. There are also those who are disturbed by this unity, posing as one of us and trying to undermine us."
Minister Işıkhan expressed his sincere belief that Türkiye will achieve new victories with the development initiatives launched under President Erdoğan's leadership. At the event, members of the CHP, İYİ Party, and Yeniden Refah Party who joined the AK Party were also presented with badges.
