BREAKING NEWS | CHP leader Özel announced in front of the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters: "There are queues at notaries today..."

Breaking news : CHP Chairman Özgür Özel arrived at the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters before visiting the mayors currently in prison. Commenting on the Istanbul Provincial Congress, which was canceled by a court decision, the CHP leader stated that they do not recognize the decision.
The CHP leader, who stated that Özgür Çelik, who was appointed as a trustee by the court, was still on duty, said, "My deputy is my namesake Özgür Çelik."
Özel, stating that delegates in Istanbul are collecting signatures for a new extraordinary congress, said, "CHP provincial delegates are lining up at the notary today, defending their pure will and choices. Istanbul's will will be reminded of its will once again with an extraordinary congress to be held in the coming days."
CHP leader Özel's statements are as follows;
"ÖZGÜR ÇELİK IS ON HIS DUTY"- We are Türkiye's most powerful family. The building behind us is my family home. It has one owner: Atatürk. As the person who sits in his chairmanship, I have 83 offices. One is in Parliament, one is at headquarters, and 81 are provincial headquarters.
- The CHP provincial chairperson serves in the provincial headquarters and acts as deputy for the party chairman. My deputy is my namesake, Özgür Çelik. Özgür Çelik is in charge of his duties.
- Yesterday's court decision is legally and politically null and void. It is unacceptable. A coup attempt is now being orchestrated against the will of the Istanbul Provincial Congress.
- Recognizing this decision, accepting an unelected person as provincial chair, would be a denial of both the law and politics, the ballot box, and the election. Of course, we do not recognize this decision. Our provincial chair and administration remain in office.
- Dozens of phone calls have been coming in since the early hours of the morning. Today, we see CHP elected delegates queuing at notaries. They're signing for an extraordinary congress. Even those who didn't vote for the congress and opposed Çelik are signing this petition to protest this unlawful act.
-
Everyone should know that CHP provincial delegates are lining up at the notary today, defending their pure will and their choices. Istanbul's will will be reiterated at an extraordinary congress in the coming days.
- Today, all necessary legal objections are being made. We're here, we're not going anywhere.
