Armed land conflict in Karataş: Two brothers lost their lives

A land dispute in the Karataş district of Adana has turned deadly. The argument, which began between two families in the Yenimurat neighborhood, quickly escalated into an armed clash.
In the incident, Nuri K. (50), his older brother Zeynel K. (60) and his nephew Mehmet Mevlüt K. (28) and from the opposite side Bayram E. (61) and his sons Celal (30) and Mustafa E. (27) were injured.
Following a report, medical and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon initial response, paramedics determined Nuri K. was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seriously injured, Zeynel K. could not be saved despite all interventions made in Adana City, Training and Research Hospital, where he was taken.
Wounded in the gunfight, Mehmet Mevlüt K., Bayram E., Celal E., and Mustafa E. were transported by medical teams to Adana City, Training and Research Hospital and the state hospital in the Tarsus district of Mersin.
Following the investigation at the scene, the bodies of Nuri K. and Zeynel K. were sent to the morgue for autopsies. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
