AK Party member Özdemir's response to CHP leader Özel's allegations: "He will be known as a disbeliever"
In his statement today, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel claimed that before the operation against Bayrampaşa Municipality, Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu was called by an MHP Provincial Deputy Chair and an AK Party Provincial Deputy Chair and made an offer saying, "They will pick you up tomorrow morning. If you tell us you will pass, I can stop you."
AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chair Abdullah Özdemir responded to Özel's allegations in a post on his social media account. Özdemir wrote, "In the statement made by the CHP Chairman today, I strongly reject the slander regarding Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu, which states that one of our Provincial Deputy Chairs contacted him and said, 'They will pick you up tomorrow morning, if you tell us you will pass, I can stop you.' I invite Mr. Özgür Özel to file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office without delay."
"Although he previously lied to the public about Manavgat by saying, 'There is a 32-hour video recording,' he has not been able to provide any documentation for two months, and he will be called a slanderer on this issue as well," he said.
