While the forest fires that broke out in the Ödemiş and Buca districts of İzmir are still being fought from air and land, the fire in Çeşme has been brought under control.

While the fires were burning the heart of Türkiye, singer Çelik went to the fire area and shared posts on her social media account.

"I PREFERRED TO COME TO THE FIELD"

Çelik, who went to Ödemiş, said, "I chose to come to the field instead of standing helplessly in front of the screen or competing with people on social media. I can carry water and patients with my off-road vehicle if necessary."

The singer, who stated that she will also go to Buca and Çeşme, said, "We set out at night and arrived in Ödemiş. I don't know what to do. Should we give someone water or take them to the hospital? How can we support them?"

Çelik Erişçi also announced that he postponed the release date of his new song's video due to the forest fire disaster:

"Due to the fire disaster we experienced, I have decided to postpone the video clip release of our new song, which we have been working on for a long time. Since digital platforms are managed globally and planning starts months in advance, we could not intervene in the broadcast. Look at Destiny... We are in a painful period where our hearts are burning, lives are burning, and our homeland, nature, forests and living beings are suffering great damage. While the news of fires coming from all over our country deeply shook us all, this special evening we planned turned into mourning. I pray for the damage to our people, animals and nature to end as soon as possible. May Almighty Allah help us. I am immediately setting off to Izmir with my team and vehicle to take my place among the volunteers supporting the struggle. Love, Çelik."
