Sales of immune-friendly foods are declining this year

Recai Polat, who sells dried nuts in Eskişehir , said they offer many health-beneficial products to their customers, such as grapes, dates, apricots, oleaster, carob and dried figs.
Polat noted that apricots, oleaster, and carob are more popular during the summer months, emphasizing that these products can be consumed in more than one way. "IMMUNE-FRIENDLY FOODS"
Polat stated that boiled carob is good for diseases such as cough, phlegm and bronchitis, and added, "Grapes are immune-friendly foods because they have a blood-building effect and apricots have a constipation-relieving effect."
Recai Polat, speaking about oleaster, which is generally consumed as jam and marmalade and is also known for its sweet and sour taste, said, "It is an ulcer preventer and also good for blood diseases and insomnia." Polat, stating that business has been stagnant this year, said, "Our business dropped by fifty percent in the summer season, especially after the holiday. Compared to last year, there were one hundred percent increases in some prices." Regarding dried nuts and fruits, which are also affected by weather conditions, Polat said, "Hailfalls negatively affected the number of grapes and apricots." Remarking that they store their products in cold storage, Recai Polat concluded his remarks by saying, "You can consume these foods, which have a lifespan of one year, with peace of mind during the summer months."
