Release of Boğaziçi University students arrested during Nureddin Yıldız protest

Five students who were arrested during the protests against reactionary Nurettin Yıldız's speech at Boğaziçi University on May 13 were released.
Accepting the indictment regarding the students, the Istanbul 69th Criminal Court of First Instance set October 13th for the hearing in the distribution phase and decided to release them, taking into account the fact that the defendants were students, had exams, and the collection of evidence.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Theologian Nureddin Yıldız, who drew criticism for his words such as "A woman who is beaten should be grateful until the morning" and "A child who is 6 years old can be married", participated as a speaker in an event at Boğaziçi University on May 13, and the event was protested by students. One of the 6 students who were arrested the next day was released upon objection.
