Peer bullying took one of his sons, the other one is in intensive care!

Stating that his 14-year-old son was subjected to peer bullying and died of a heart attack at school during an argument that broke out at school last year, father Ramazan Taşkın said that he wanted all those responsible to be punished and for such incidents to not happen to other children.

The incident occurred at noon last Wednesday at Dikilitaş Sahip Ata Primary School in the central Selçuklu district. According to the information obtained, following an argument between 10-year-old Yusuf Taşkın, a 4th grade student at the school, and his friend İ.Ç., İ.Ç. allegedly squeezed Yusuf Taşkın's throat for a long time after seeing him fall to the ground after feeling unwell. Other students reported the situation to their teachers. Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the teachers' notification. After the first intervention of the health teams, Yusuf Taşkın was taken by ambulance to Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. It was learned that little Yusuf, who was taken under treatment there, is still in critical condition.

"HE BEATEN ME UNTIL HE WAS BREATHLESS"

Stating that Yusuf was hospitalized due to peer bullying, the father Ramazan Taşkın (42) stated that he wanted all those responsible for the incident to be punished and said, "A child, I don't know what happened between them, took my son Yusuf under his arm and strangled him. He dragged him to the teacher's desk and beat him until he was suffocating. I want all state authorities to do what needs to be done about him. I don't want such incidents to happen to any other child."

"MY YUSUF IS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE"

Father Ramazan Taşkın, who explained that he worked the night shift on the day of the incident, said, "I was called by the teacher at around 12 noon. He said that my son Yusuf Taşkın was getting worse. I went immediately when I heard the news. When I arrived at the school, my son Yusuf Taşkın was unconscious on the ground, his heart had stopped. We waited for the school principal to perform heart massage and for the ambulance to arrive. Since my son's brain had not received oxygen for 20 minutes, all of his brain functions and organs had weakened and he was barely able to function. My son is currently in the Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine. Yusuf is fighting for his life. He was currently taken into brain surgery due to edema in his brain. Previously, on April 17 of last year, my 14-year-old son Mustafa Taşkın lost his life due to stress-related heart failure during a fight at a different school."

Yusuf's uncle Musa Taşkın said, "Our second child is leaving. Whoever is at fault should be investigated, researched and statements should be taken. The school should be visited and examined from the time the ambulance enters to the time it leaves. The statements of the children and the parents will come to light anyway."
