Statement from AFAD regarding the plane crash on the Bayburt-Rize-Erzurum border

In a statement made by AFAD, it was stated that it was reported that a plane with two people on board, which took off from Sivrihisar district of Eskişehir and went to Rize, crashed between Erzurum and Rize at 18.18 yesterday.
In the statement, it was stated that 14 vehicles, 4 drones and 57 personnel from AFAD teams in Bayburt, Rize, Erzurum, Artvin and Erzincan were directed to the scene, 2 rescue helicopters from the Ministry of National Defense, 2 reconnaissance planes, 110 personnel and search dogs from the Gendarmerie General Command, 1 UAV, 2 vehicles, 5 personnel, 112 Emergency Health and UMKE teams from the General Directorate of Security, and 6 vehicles and 34 personnel from non-governmental organizations were directed.
The statement, which reported that the plane that crashed was found in the morning hours, included the following: "Search and rescue efforts continued throughout the night in the region where the report was received with thermal and night vision camera drones and air vehicles, and the plane that crashed was found in the morning hours. It was determined that our citizen who was the pilot of the plane unfortunately lost his life, and our citizen who was the passenger was rescued with injuries. We wish God's mercy on our citizen who lost his life, our condolences to his relatives, and a speedy recovery to our citizen who was rescued with injuries."
