Market inspection by police in Avcılar

Avcılar Municipality Police Department teams conducted an inspection of the market. They toured each stall individually. During the inspections, a standard 1-kilogram weight was placed on precision scales to determine the weight. They also checked whether products had price tags, whether vendors were shouting to attract customers, and whether they were adhering to hygiene regulations. The police frequently warned vendors to place their scales on a flat surface where customers could see them. The warning was issued after it was noticed that many vendors were leaving their scales on their side or obscuring the display with products. Police Chief Osman Mutlu stated that consumers have the right to know the true weight of the product they are purchasing and that they will continue the inspections.
