Istanbul-Aleppo flights started today

Minister Uraloğlu issued a written statement regarding developments in air travel with Syria. Minister Uraloğlu announced that, in addition to the current daily flights between Istanbul and Damascus, three weekly passenger flights have been launched on the Istanbul-Aleppo route, thanks to the efforts of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. Minister Uraloğlu stated, "As part of the resumption of flights, following the Damascus flights, we are now launching flights to Aleppo. Turkish Airlines will operate three weekly flights on the Istanbul-Aleppo route, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that Turkish Airlines will increase the number of flights on the Istanbul-Aleppo route to five days a week as of August 15th and to seven days a week as of September 1st.
Uraloğlu, who announced that AJet will begin flights on the Sabiha Gökçen-Aleppo route as of August 2, said, "We will operate flights every day of the week on the Sabiha Gökçen-Aleppo route starting August 4."
