Fire breaks out in a wooded area in Kağıthane

The fire broke out in a wooded area in Çağlayan around 3:45 p.m. According to reports, grass behind the Kağıthane District Governor's Office caught fire. The flames, driven by the wind, spread to the trees. Those who saw the smoke rising alerted firefighters, who arrived quickly and began tackling the blaze.

However, as the fire spread further, local residents responded with water jugs and provided support to the teams. Police arrived at the scene, retrieved firefighting hoses from the fire department, and extinguished the flames. Residents of surrounding buildings also extended hoses from their homes to assist.
