CHP begins European rallies: Germany may be next after Belgium

The CHP Central Executive Committee convened yesterday under the chairmanship of Chairman Özgür Özel.

The Central Executive Committee meeting, which lasted approximately three and a half hours, included the economy , health, foreign policy, education issues, the CHP TBMM Group 28th Term 3rd Working and Evaluation Meeting held in Bolu, the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress, the trial of CHP's 7th Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to be heard on October 17, and the CHP's "Standing Up to the Nation's Will" rally to be held in Brussels on October 12.

According to reports, CHP Deputy Chair Zeliha Aksaz Şahbaz made a presentation at the Central Executive Committee (MYK) regarding the detention of sick prisoners. The Deputy Chair for Foreign Policy, working under the coordination of Deputy Chair Namık Tan, also gave a presentation on foreign policy.

Özel's instructions to Kılıçdaroğlu: Let's definitely follow them

The case, which was formed by combining five separate files filed against CHP's 7th Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on charges of "insulting the President," will be heard on Friday, October 17, at the Ankara 25th High Criminal Court.

On October 17, when Kılıçdaroğlu will appear in court again, CHP leader Özel will be in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, to attend the congress of the European Socialist Party (PES).

According to reports, Özel emphasized the importance of the case, stating that the Central Executive Committee (MYK) must follow the proceedings to the end. Özel stated, "We will definitely follow up on the case," and instructed a large delegation to attend. The staff stated, "Our General Chairman is abroad, but there will be participation from our party at the highest level."

Seven people did not attend the parliamentary camp

CHP officials stated that they also evaluated the CHP TBMM Group 28th Term 3rd Working and Evaluation Meeting held in Bolu at the Central Executive Committee, saying, "It was a very good and successful camp where ideas were exchanged. It was a positive image that was also reflected in the public opinion."

According to reports, seven members of parliament did not attend the camp. Two of them were unable to attend due to health issues.

Staff members stated that two of the MPs who were unable to attend had given excuses due to health problems, and that they believed the other MPs who were unable to attend also had valid excuses.

The staff said that the CHP TBMM Group 28th Term 3rd Working and Evaluation Meeting was held in unity and solidarity, and that this was a response to those who wanted to create the image of duality within the CHP.

"The Ordinary Congress will be held towards the last weeks of November"

Staff stated that the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress schedule continues, with district congresses completed and provincial congresses underway, and that the Ordinary Congress will be held in the last week of November or early December following the completion of the provincial congresses.

The staff said, "We will have completed the 79th provincial congress on October 9th. We have two provinces, and those are on the 21st. By the evening of October 21st, we will have held congresses in all 81 provinces, elected new administrations and new congress delegates, and have exhausted the life of the old ones."

"There may be a rally in Germany in December"

CHP leader Özel, who will prioritize his international travels starting in October, will first attend the Socialist International Presidents' Board meeting in Madrid, the capital of Spain, on October 9-10.

Following this, he will hold a "Nation Stands Up for Its Will" rally in Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday, October 12. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will meet with Turkish voters in Brussels.

Özel will be in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, from October 16-18 to attend the congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES). Also discussing the CHP's first international rally, which will be held in Brussels, the party officials said, "There is also a request from Germany for a rally. We may hold one there in December."

On the other hand, it was learned that two people from the Erzurum organization were disciplined in the MYK because of their posts.
