Up to 12 years in prison requested for Ufuk Bayraktar

A prison sentence of up to 12 years has been sought for actor Ufuk Bayraktar , who was investigated for allegedly soliciting extortion from a venue in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district.
An indictment was prepared against Bayraktar for allegedly demanding extortion from a restaurant in Beyoğlu, and he faces a prison sentence of 7.5 to 12 years on charges of "looting at a workplace with more than one person."
WHAT HAPPENED?Security footage had surfaced showing Ufuk Bayraktar raiding a restaurant in Beyoğlu and demanding 25,000 TL in extortion money.
A fight broke out between actor Ufuk Bayraktar's friend Volkan A. and the owner of the restaurant they went to, AP, in the Kılıçali Paşa neighborhood around 12:00 a.m. During the fight, AP, the owner of the restaurant, was beaten by Bayraktar and his friend.
Bayraktar was referred to the courthouse on August 21st with a request for arrest, but was released on probation.
