The October program for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Beyoğlu Cinema has been announced.

In October, the "I Watched It in Beyoğlu " concept will feature "Little Women ," " Attention Maniac ," " Past Lives ," " Julie and Julia ," and " Birdman ." Following the screenings of " Yurt Resimleri ," " Sivas ," and " Gezede ," as well as " Su Yüzu " and " Haki ," which will be shown as part of the " 5th Cinema Festival Selection ," talks will be held with the directors.
For young moviegoers, the " Kids Matinee " will feature screenings of " The Nut Job 2 ," " Kung Fu Panda 4 ," " Ruby the Young Sea Monster ," and "The Nut Job."
In the short film selection titled “ Side by Side: From Turkey with Love… ” in collaboration with Kültür AŞ, the films “Lottery,” “Things I Learned at 30,” and “Wound” will be screened with the participation of film crews; while in the “Side by Side: From France with Love…” selection, the films “Death of an Actor,” “After the Sun,” and “No Matter the Distance” will be screened. “Destroying Liberty Square” in collaboration with BİFED, and “Pedro Páramo” in collaboration with the Istanbul Cervantes Institute and the Mexican Consulate will be screened. In the “ Tuesday Documentaries ” section prepared in collaboration with BSB, the documentary “The Wine Colored Sea” will be screened, and the documentaries “The Harvest of Light” and “60” will be screened with the participation of the directors.
SCREENINGS, TALKS
In the "Who Makes Cinema?" talks, organized in collaboration with SİNESEN and moderated by Galip Görür, Nermin Aytekin will discuss the production process, while Erdoğan Kar and Eren Danışman Boz will discuss direction. In the "Cinema Talks for the Curious," organized in collaboration with TÜRSAV, Hakan Aytekin and Önder Esmer will discuss the future of documentary filmmaking, while Aydın Sayman and Ahmet Hızarcı will discuss academic approaches to filmmaking. In the "Cinema and Youth" talks, organized in collaboration with the Altyazı Cinema Association, Nil Kural, Aslı Ildır, and Engin Ertan will meet with filmgoers. Ildır and Ertan will also hold a discussion following the screening of the Coen brothers' "Sen Şarkıları Sing" as part of "Altyazı Seçti."
On Wednesday, October 8th, the event " The Count of Beyoğlu: Giovanni Scognamillo, " organized in collaboration with SİAMER, will begin with an opening speech by Alessandra Scognamillo. Following a screening of the documentary "A Cinema Lover: Giovanni Scognamillo," it will be followed by a comprehensive discussion on the history of cinema. That same evening, the opening will feature a screening of the film "Giovanni Scognamillo," part of the "Horror and Literature" theme, followed by a discussion on the subject.
