Message of support for Palestine was given in the award speeches

Kaouther Ben Hania, the Tunisian director of the film "Voice of Rajab," said in his speech that he dedicated this award to the Palestinian Red Crescent and those who saved lives in Gaza.

Hania noted that the film, The Voice of Hind Rajab, is the voice of Gaza, a call for help to the whole world, but no one has responded.

Hania stated that Hind's voice will continue to echo until accountability is achieved and justice is served, adding, "This is the story of all the people who were subjected to genocide by the criminal Israeli regime, which has tragically gone unpunished."

Hania reminded that Hind Rajab's mother and sister are still in Gaza, saying they are living under the same fear, hunger and bombardment every day.

"Their survival is not a matter of charity, it is a matter of justice, humanity, the minimum responsibility that the world owes them," the Tunisian director said.

Hania expressed her hope that this film would help stop the war and concluded her speech with the phrase "Free Palestine."

Ecuadorian Ana Cristina Barragan, who won the Orizzonti Best Screenplay award for her film "The Ivy," concluded her acceptance speech in Spanish with the words "Free Palestine."

"Every child deserves peace, freedom and liberation, and Palestine is no exception."

Indian Anuparna Roy, who won the Orizzonti Best Director award for her film "Songs of Forgotten Trees," gave a message of support for Palestine in her speech.

Roy expressed his desire to talk about a very serious and disastrous event that took place in Palestine and said, "Every child deserves peace, freedom and salvation, and Palestine is no exception."

Anuparna Roy said, "I don't want applause for this. It's a responsibility to pause for a moment and consider standing with Palestine. I may get the reaction of my country, but it doesn't matter to me anymore."

"(In Gaza) How many mothers were left childless? How many children were left motherless and fatherless?"

Moroccan Maryam Touzani, director of the film "Calle Malaga," which won the Armani Beauty Audience Award, emphasized in her speech that she felt pain while receiving this award and that she could not forget the oppression inflicted on the Palestinian people every second.

"Today, as a mother, I can consider myself lucky to be able to look at my child as I speak, because how many mothers have been left childless? How many children have been left motherless, fatherless? They have lost everything, how many more will lose before this horror ends? Yes, we wipe our tears and move on, but we refuse to lose our humanity," Touzani said.
