SAMDOB brought the opera 'Bastien and Bastienne' to art lovers

Samsun State Opera and Ballet (SAMDOB) presented the work "Bastien and Bastienne" by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to art lovers.

The opera "Bastien and Bastienne," considered one of the comic operas composed by Mozart in 1768, was presented to the audience at the Zehra Yıldız Stage of the Atatürk Cultural Center in Samsun.

The work, whose libretto was written by Friedrich Wilhelm Weiskern, Johann Heinrich Friedrich Müller and Johann Andreas Schachtner, tells the comic and romantic adventures of two young lovers, "Bastien and Bastienne."

In the play staged under the direction of director Cenk Bıyık , the love story of "Bastien and Bastienne" in today's world takes place in a tiny cafe.

The opera was musically managed by Diego Moccia , with set design by Orhan Açıkgöz, costumes by Gülnur Çağlayan Tuluk, lighting design by Oğuz Murat Yılmaz, and video projection by Murat Turgut .

The premiere of the one-act play, which was staged to a sold-out crowd, attracted attention from art lovers.
