Yücel Yener, the General Manager of TRT, was a deputy manager at Ankara Television in 1988. I visited him and consulted him. I wanted to pursue other ventures. Asım had done many businesses, including boutique and construction, but had gone bankrupt. I was essentially unfamiliar with these businesses. He told me, "TRT will outsource work; become a producer." Tunca Toskay was the General Manager. Meanwhile, I had also started a series called "The Vuruşanlar in Cyprus." Our producer was Enver Özer, the owner of Özer Film. He was a very honest and compassionate man, and I offered him a partnership. "Samanyolu" was our first project. But then the management changed. Cem Duna became the General Manager, and Serpil Akıllıoğlu became the Department Head. The series underwent a review. Kartal Tibet was the director. He was unemployed at the time. I not only gave him a job, but also made him a partner in the company. That's how Yağmur Agency was born.
