İbrahim Tığ's poems were translated into Russian

Six poems by journalist, writer and poet İbrahim Tığ, titled "Nilgün", "Son Ver", "Towards the Morning", "The One Who Left, Left", "Hasbahçe" and "Darkening Night", were published in the latest issue of the magazine "Literratura", which has been publishing internationally in Russian for 11 years under the editor-in-chief of Russian poet and writer Natalia Polyakova, with Russian translations by Russian poet and writer Lilia Gazizova. Valentina Chepiga, the magazine's Translation Department Editor, commented on İbrahim Tığ's poems, saying, "İbrahim Tığ is a Turkish poet, journalist, and publisher. İbrahim Tığ's poetic world is a tense space of inner confession, pain, and naked vulnerability, where love and loss, loneliness and memory merge in a fluid musical language. His images are dynamic and metaphorical: the body is raised to the scale of a city, morning becomes the sought-after salvation, words weigh like bullets. The everyday and the sacred exist at the same emotional frequency. It has been translated into Russian for the first time." İbrahim Tığ, in his assessment of the issue, said, "I would like to thank the workers of Лиterraтура (Literratura) magazine, especially Lilia Gazizova, one of Russia's most important poets and writers, for introducing me and my poems to Russian literature lovers."

WHO IS IBRAHIM TIG?

İbrahim Tığ was born in 1970 in Bakırcılar Village of Devrek, Zonguldak. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Devrek and his higher education as an "architect" at Dicle University. His poetry, which he began writing in 1986, includes; His works have been published in art and literature magazines such as Kıyı, Karşı, Gerçek Sanat, Ayrıkırı Sanat, Milliyet Sanat, İnsancıl, Tay, Tan (Yugoslavia), Ortam (TRNC), Türkstar (Germany), Diogen (USA), AZAHAR Revista Poetica (Spain), Yazı (Azerbaijan), XaAk cy3u” (Folk Saying-Uzbekistan), Neuma (Romania), Лиterraтура (Russia), Ünlem, Damar, Eski Edebiyat, Biçem, Şehir, Sözler, Varlık, Yaklaşım, Lacivert, Evrensel, Berfin Bahar, Keşke, Yeni E, Sadece Şiir, KE, Sarmal Çevrim, Akatalpa, Edebiyatist, Mavi Yeşil, etc. His poems have been translated into Azerbaijani, Uzbek, English, Romanian, Spanish, Russian, and Persian. He worked as a reporter for 2000’e Doğru Magazine, Cumhuriyet and Aydınlık (daily) newspapers, and Anadolu Agency. In 2004, he founded, hosted, and wrote for the daily newspaper "Region News" in Devrek. He was a columnist for the daily newspaper "Anayurt." He is a member of the Turkish Writers' Union (TYS), the Turkish Central Auditing Board of the International Writers' Union (PEN), and the International Federation of Journalists (FIJ) and the Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC).
