Grup Yorum, whose 454 videos on YouTube were blocked on the grounds of "protecting national security and public order" and whose songs were subsequently removed from Spotify , reacted to the events on its social media account.
The group stated in a statement that their songs were removed from YouTube upon the government's instructions and that access to their X accounts was blocked at the same time.
The statement included the following statements: "AKP fascism continues to attack Grup Yorum in line with the instructions of imperialism."
The group emphasized that they will continue their struggle despite the bans and stated that cultural memory is being targeted and that they are being erased from memory.
