"Utopia Workshops" and "Silent Dreams Big Stories" exhibitions opened at Baksı Museum

In the exhibition titled "Silent Dreams Great Stories", lace and hand embroidery works of Helga Franke, the wife of Sabahattin Tölük from Erzurum, who passed away two years ago, were introduced to visitors.

"Utopia Workshops" were presented to art lovers with their original works created by young artists and master artists coming together in an environment of nature and thought.

Speaking after the opening of the exhibition, Baksı Museum founder Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan said that both exhibitions were very interesting and striking.

Stating that "Silent Dreams Great Stories" contains a love story and is an effective exhibition, he said, "This effect is experienced by a fellow countryman of ours who tries to keep a love passion like Leyla and Mecnun alive in his life. His desire to carry this story to the future impressed us a lot in terms of human quality and loyalty."

Koçan stated that the second exhibition includes works created by students studying at universities in the earthquake zone and international artists.

Stating that they started a project called 'Utopia Workshops' to support these students, Koçan noted the following:

"As part of the project, we established a system where our international artists taught and managed workshops. Therefore, university students and people with different experiences met each other here, and we revived the master-apprentice relationship."

Koçan stated that both exhibitions contain very impressive elements for today's people and added that the exhibitions can be visited in Baksı until the end of September.

Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, Provincial Police Chief Barış Erkol, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Fatih Aslan, Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Niyazi Gül, Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum Founder Kenan Yavuz and citizens attended the opening ceremony.
