The countdown has begun: All eyes on October 24th in the CHP!

Published: Updated:
All eyes in the CHP are on the dubious congress case to be heard on October 24. The Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance will convene tomorrow to hear the case seeking the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress.
THERE ARE THREE WAYS BEFORE THE COURTThe court has three options. The first option is to issue an absolute nullity ruling and reinstate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as CHP leader. The second option is to postpone the decision to a later date. The third option is to dismiss the case on the grounds that the annulment application is "irrelevant," taking into account the extraordinary congress.
However, since the hearing is a final hearing, it is expected that instead of a postponement decision, either an "absolute nullity" or "dismissal of the case" decision will be issued.
CHP Prepares Counter-MoveThe CHP leadership will convene the Central Executive Board (MYK) ahead of tomorrow's hearing and announce the date of the regular congress. Özgür Özel and his team aim to eliminate the legal grounds for the annulment case with this decision.

The CHP has held a total of 60 congresses to date, 22 of which were extraordinary. With the completion of the provincial congresses on Wednesday, October 22, the party's 1,200 congress delegates were determined.
The main dates for the congress, which is planned to be held for three days at the Ankara Sports Hall, are 28-29-30 November.
ANOTHER CANCELLATION REQUEST FOR CHPAnother annulment lawsuit was filed against the CHP yesterday. Several CHP congress delegates, including former Hatay Metropolitan Mayor Lütfü Savaş, requested the cancellation of preparations for the 39th Ordinary Congress. The petition, submitted to the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance, requested the annulment of all elections held during the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress.

The petition requested the reinstatement of former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, members of the party assembly and the high disciplinary board.
'Immunity' Armor for the Party LeadershipThere is talk in CHP circles that there may be a comprehensive change in the party administration, that the number of MPs may be increased due to the "immunity" shield in the party administration against possible new lawsuits, and that some transferred MPs may be accepted into the Party Assembly (PM).
The courtroom has changedThe Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance requested a larger courtroom, stating that the case seeking the cancellation of the CHP 38th Ordinary Congress, to be held on Friday, October 24, was being followed by a large number of spectators and members of the press, and that the courtroom being used was small and inadequate.
After the Ankara Justice Commission Presidency accepted the request, it was decided that the hearing would be held in hall number "Z-10" used by the Ankara 25th Civil Court of First Instance in the Dışkapı Courthouse.
