Snowfall in Istanbul helped dams! İSKİ announced data

According to Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration ( İSKİ ) data, the occupancy rate in dams, which fell to 27.49 percent on November 21 last year, started to rise following the snowfall that was effective in the city since Wednesday of last week.
The average occupancy rate of the dams, which increased by 6.19 percent in the last week, was measured as 72.2 percent as of today.
The amount of water was measured as 61.5 percent in Alibey, 69.41 percent in Büyükçekmece, 68.58 percent in Darlık, 88.46 percent in Elmalı, 91.67 percent in Istrancalar, 79.13 percent in Kazandere, 78.22 percent in Pabuçdere, 54.91 percent in Sazlıdere, 74.61 percent in Terkos and 78.84 percent in Ömerli.
The amount of water in dams and ponds with a maximum storage volume of 868 million 683 thousand cubic meters has been recorded as 627.18 million cubic meters as of today.
Apart from the dams , 146.11 million cubic meters of water have been taken from the Melen and Yeşilçay regulators that provide water to the city so far this year.
The amount of rainfall falling on the dams so far this year has reached 210.53 kilograms per square meter.
On the other hand, 3 million 109 thousand cubic meters of water was consumed in Istanbul yesterday.
OCCUPANCY RATES OF THE LAST 10 YEARS
According to İSKİ statistics, the dam occupancy rates as of February 25 were recorded as 96.41 percent in 2015, 86.79 percent in 2016, 87.5 percent in 2017, 80.48 percent in 2018, 91.5 percent in 2019, 62.83 percent in 2020, 54.07 percent in 2021, 82.16 percent in 2022, 35.23 percent in 2023, and 76.35 percent in 2024.
