The We Will Not Give Up Our Land Campaign Group held a press conference in front of the Parliament yesterday against the omnibus bill submitted to the Parliament .

Funda Öz Akcura, in her statement on behalf of the group, said, "These lands are not just borders attached to the edge of a map. This is the entirety of a life where we breathe together, cool off in its shade, and drink its water wholeheartedly." Akcura, who said, "This is a network of life with its forest, stream, pasture, wetland, protected area, coast, olive grove, and pasture," noted that this network is intended to be torn apart by the occupation law.

EIA processes have been rendered ineffective; Akcura, who stated that forests, wetlands, protected areas and protection zones were being offered to the use of mining and energy companies, noted the following: "Olive groves are being taken from the villagers under the name of expropriation. Illegal investments are being forgiven, pastures are being allocated. Under the guise of public benefit, the people's title deeds are being turned into pieces of paper for the benefit of the companies. With the new regulation, the expropriation document replaces the title deed. This is clearly the dispossession of the people. This bill is not only an attack on nature; it is also an attack on justice, equal citizenship and our common future. It is land usurpation. It is the seizure of water rights. It is a blow to agriculture and animal husbandry, it is the condemnation of the people to hunger. . This bill, which they present to us as the 'Super Permit Law', is actually an edict of plunder . For whom? For a small number of companies that are not accountable to anyone and run the country out of greed for profit. We will not allow even a single article of this bill to pass. We will defend our lands, our waters, our nature, our villages and life."

On the other hand, the life advocates who went to Ankara from all over the country and made statements were banned from the Parliament. Aykut Alyanak, Aydın Şimşek, Hüseyin Gökoğlu, Deniz Gümüşel, Halime Şaman, Abdulkadir Suiçmez, Adem Arı and Nail Uyan were banned from entering the Parliament.
