No illegal construction allowed in Saros Gulf
Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer announced that illegal constructions will not be allowed on the shores of the Gulf of Saros.
Governor Sezer met with tourism operators and business owners at a tourism meeting held at the Atatürk Middle School in the Enez district. Speaking here, Sezer said that inspections regarding illegal structures on the coasts were continuing.
Sezer, who stated that unauthorized structures were detected and necessary actions were taken, said, "They established a business on land that was considered a field without getting permission from anyone. A man established a holiday village on treasury land. It is not registered with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism or the Provincial Special Administration. He came there and hung a sign saying 'holiday village'."
Sezer stated that they have been removing illegal structures on the coasts since last year and that inspections are continuing in the hotels and accommodation areas on the coasts.

Sezer, who stated that they will not allow structures to be built on the stream bed, said, "People are losing their loved ones. We are a family in this country, this could be your child or our relative. We need to carry the responsibility of this in conscience. Let's help each other, but let's help within the legal framework."
Edirne Deputy Governor and Provincial Special Administration Secretary General Eyyüp Batuhan Ciğerci, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Mehmet Kasım Ermiş, Provincial Police Chief Onur Karaburun, Enez Mayor Özkan Günenç and Edirne Culture and Tourism Director Kemal Soytürk attended the meeting where Enez District Governor Muhammed Emin Tutal made a presentation on Enez tourism.
