Minister Fidan to meet with Georgian counterpart Botchorishvili in Ankara

Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili is coming to Turkey. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will hold a meeting with his Georgian counterpart in Ankara.
Many topics will be on the agenda during the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the two neighboring countries.
Fidan will convey that Georgia will continue to provide strong support to its efforts to integrate with Euro-Atlantic organizations. He will express the importance given to the trilateral mechanism established with Georgia and Azerbaijan and its contributions to regional cooperation, peace and stability.
Bilateral relations and trade issues will also be on the tableTürkiye has been Georgia's number one trade partner for 16 years. The trade volume between the two countries exceeds $3 billion. In this context, bilateral relations and trade issues will also be among the topics to be discussed during the meeting.
Minister Fidan will express to his Georgian counterpart that the Middle Corridor is important for the region and beyond. In this context, the need for joint efforts to start operating the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway, which is the backbone of the Middle Corridor, at full capacity will be discussed.

Turkey's readiness to provide all kinds of support necessary for the return of the Meskhetian Turks to their homeland, Georgia, will also be conveyed to the guest minister.
