Livestock Support Project application dates

Applications continue within the scope of the Abundance in Rural Areas, Support for Livestock Project. Following the applications that will last until February 28, TİGEM will provide at least 5 and at most 15 pregnant meat breed breeding heifers to the citizens who qualify. WHAT IS THE PROJECT TO SUPPORT ANIMAL HUSBANDRY IN RURAL AREAS?
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is implementing the “Rural Abundance, Support for Livestock Project” in order to support the livestock sector and strengthen family businesses in rural areas. Within the scope of the project, pregnant cattle belonging to the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM) will be given to producers at affordable costs with the coordination of the General Directorate of Livestock.

RURAL ABUNDANCE LIVESTOCK SUPPORT PROJECT PAYMENT PLAN
Within the scope of the project, TİGEM will provide at least 5 and up to 15 heads of pregnant breeding heifers (if the person is a Veterinarian/Agricultural Engineer/Food Engineer, at least 5 and up to 30 heads) to the beneficiaries.
Those who are eligible for the project will be able to use the Ziraat Bank Basic Livestock Loan. This process will be evaluated by Ziraat Bank following the announcement of the beneficiaries.
The prices of pregnant breeding heifers to be delivered within the scope of the project will be realized on the sales prices published specifically for this project on the TİGEM page on the delivery date of the animals and the rightful owners will be able to pay the animal prices in cash and/or by credit.
The animals will be given to the beneficiaries with 1 (one) year TARSİM insurance. The insurance expense for the next 1 (one) year will be covered by the beneficiary.
In the project, based on the contract to be made between TİGEM and the breeder, the animals will be checked by the provincial/district directorate of agriculture in the first week of each month in accordance with the instructions given by HAYGEM, and the summaries that will form the basis of the care and feeding expenses to be paid by TİGEM for a maximum of 15 animals will be sent to HAYGEM in the second week of each month at the latest.
The summary prepared by HAYGEM for a maximum of 15 animals belonging to all right holders in the country will be sent to TİGEM and the maintenance and feeding fee of 1500 TL per animal will be paid by TİGEM in the relevant month, for 12 months, starting from the month following the delivery of the animal.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROJECT TO SUPPORT ANIMAL HUSBANDRY IN RURAL AREAS
Natural persons who are citizens of the Republic of Türkiye,
Business owners registered in the TÜRKVET registration system with a capacity of up to 200 cattle (this condition is also sought from breeders who apply for the project by opening a new business) will be able to apply.
Each farmer can only apply for 1 (one) business.
Only 1 (one) grower from the same household can apply.
The applicant must reside in the province/district where the business he/she is applying for is located. Veterinarians, Agricultural/Food Engineers and mukhtars can also apply for the project by opening a new business. Insurance is not required for these people.
For those who will apply to the project with a rental business, a notarized lease agreement of at least 3 years is required.
Since new cattle farms cannot be opened within the scope of Animal Production Planning in our provinces/districts with water restrictions, those who do not have a cattle farm cannot apply by opening a new business. However, these people can apply for the project by making a notarized lease agreement for at least 3 years for an existing business.
Public institutions and organizations, legal entities, civil servants, minors under the age of eighteen and those penalized under Law No. 5488 cannot apply for this project.
Those who benefit from the expert hands and young farmer project cannot apply for this project.
Growers can only benefit from this project once.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION DATES FOR THE RURAL ABUNDANCE LIVESTOCK SUPPORT PROJECT?
Applications are made to the provincial/district agriculture and forestry directorates with the Annex (1) form and its attachments within the framework of the calendar determined by the General Directorate of Livestock.
Applications will start on 10.02.2025 and end at the end of business hours on 28.02.2025.
The applicant accepts and undertakes that the information and documents he/she has provided to the provincial/district directorate of agriculture and forestry are accurate, that he/she has not provided misleading information, and that he/she has prepared the basic business plan for the project he/she will implement.
The evaluation form (Annex 2) is filled out during the application. Documents confirming the information declared in the form are submitted by the applicant to the provincial/district agriculture and forestry directorates.
In businesses that apply by the provincial/district directorates, the number of applications and the suitability of the vacant capacity in the business are checked.
Applications will be entered into the Livestock Project Application System by the provincial/district directorates.
At the end of the application period, after all entries are completed, the province/district lists are obtained and sent to the provincial directorates.
Provincial directorates receive the application list in the province according to the specified calendar and send it to HAYGEM.
Applications made by HAYGEM nationwide are listed in order of score and sent to TİGEM.
The following procedures and operations are carried out by the provincial/district directorates until the Livestock Project Application System is put into use.
During the application period, applications are recorded in the Annex-4 form.
Applications are listed by provincial/district directorates.
The lists created by the provincial/district directorates are converted into a provincial list by the provincial directorates and sent to HAYGEM.

If available, a document proving that the person is a veteran/first degree relative of a martyr/disabled person
If applicable, the applicant must have an education certificate/certificate related to animal husbandry. This certificate/certificate must be an education certificate, vocational qualification certificate and/or a diploma or exit certificate from a university/college, issued by the Ministry of National Education, ISKUR, KOSGEB, on animal husbandry. Certificates/certificates issued as a result of courses opened by universities are not valid, but diplomas or exit certificates received from these institutions are valid. The vocational qualification certificate must be obtained from authorized agricultural organizations or authorized institutions.
