ÖNDER ÇELİK ÇERKEZKÖY - BSH Turkey, which manufactures in Çerkezköy with Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Profilo brands, is celebrating the 30th year of its operations in Turkey with its 5 factories, over 3,500 sales points and R&D center. BSH Turkey, which has produced over 100 million units in 30 years, has exported to over 150 countries today. Emphasizing that Türkiye plays an active role in global strategies, BSH CEO Dr. Matthias Metz said, “With 39 factories worldwide and a presence in more than 50 countries, we continue to grow, especially in our dynamic Emerging Markets Region, where Türkiye provides a strong base for BSH. We entered the Turkish market in October 1995. Turkey is a strategic location. Our teams in Türkiye are driving progress not only in Turkey and the surrounding markets, but throughout the entire BSH Group. Therefore, Turkey remains a key focus for us and an integral part of our global success.” Stating that they provide employment for 10 thousand people in the factories in Çerkezköy, Metz emphasized that they export to 150 countries.

BSH Home Appliances Chairman of the Board and Emerging Markets Region CEO Gökhan Sığın also stated that the company has left its mark in many areas from R&D to digital transformation, from employment to economic contribution. Sığın, who noted that the amount of direct investment made in the 30-year period was 1.8 billion dollars, said, “While BSH Türkiye’s investment multiplier is 6.6 times, this rate shows that every 1 dollar investment we make triggers the formation of new fixed capital in the country in the amount of 6.6 dollars. Our direct exports have reached 16.9 billion dollars in 30 years. These figures clearly demonstrate our contribution to Türkiye’s foreign trade balance and BSH Türkiye’s position in the global supply chain.”

BSH Turkey CEO Alper Şengül noted that the total economic contribution in 30 years has reached 45 billion dollars, and expressed that every 1 dollar the company puts forward creates an economic volume effect of 4.3 dollars in the economy. Şengül pointed out that the general employment multiplier average in the 30-year period was 6.6 and said, “Total employment originating from BSH, including direct and indirect effects. It creates a wide economic footprint of approximately 60 thousand people throughout Turkey.” Stating that they develop technologies that lead both local and global markets with over 460 R&D employees today, Şengül emphasized that the company creates long-term and permanent effects not only economically but also socially and environmentally: We have been carbon neutral in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions since 2020. In addition, we saved 39,299 MWh of energy in our Çerkezköy campus in the 2019-2024 period. In addition, we saved 143,574 cubic meters of water between 2018 and 2024.
