Fire broke out in Köyceğiz Otmanlar: Intervention continues

A forest fire broke out in the rural Otmanlar neighborhood, located on the border between Muğla's Köyceğiz district and Denizli. Numerous teams were dispatched to the area after the blaze broke out in the morning.

Following a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center, teams from the Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry quickly arrived at the fire scene. The steep terrain of the fire made it difficult for ground crews to intervene. Therefore, aircraft were also involved in the firefighting efforts.

Airborne intervention continues

An intensive aerial response using helicopters and aircraft is underway to bring the fire under control. Ground crews are also continuing to combat the flames from suitable locations in the area.
