Critical warning for the Aegean!

According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the whole country will be partly and very cloudy, the Aegean and Western Mediterranean coasts, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Tekirdağ, Karabük surroundings, northern districts of Sakarya and Düzce will experience rain and showers, and this morning in the Rize, Artvin, Ardahan and Van areas it will be sleet and snow. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of heavy showers in the surroundings of İzmir and the south of Çanakkale, coastal districts of Balıkesir and Aydın. Icing and frost, along with fog and haze, are expected in the northern, central and eastern parts. There is an avalanche danger in the highlands of the inland areas of the Eastern Black Sea and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures, which are below seasonal norms across the country, are expected to increase by 3 to 5 degrees. Winds are expected to blow generally from the south, occasionally at moderate strength.
