Code 'yellow' warning for 13 cities, including Istanbul and Izmir! It's coming very strong
Breaking Meteorological news: The Meteorological Service has announced the weather forecast for the last business day of the week. A yellow code warning has been issued for 13 cities due to the expectation of severe storms, while skies are expected to be clear across the country. Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms.
Temperatures exceeded 40 degrees in 24 provincesTemperatures will continue to stay above seasonal norms this week. Yesterday, temperatures in 24 cities ranged from 40 to 48.2 degrees Celsius, depending on the district.
The highest temperature of the day was measured at 48.2 degrees Celsius in the Sumbas district of Osmaniye . This was followed by 47.7 degrees Celsius in the Kozan district of Adana and 46.7 degrees Celsius in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay.
'YELLOW' CODE WARNING FOR 13 CITIESAccording to information on the Turkish State Meteorological Service's website, a code yellow warning has been issued for 13 cities, including Istanbul and Izmir. Residents in these provinces are advised to be cautious of the strong storm.
Here are the provinces that received warnings: Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Istanbul, Izmir, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Manisa, Sakarya, Tekirdağ and Yalova.
According to the latest forecasts, the northeastern parts of our country are expected to be partly cloudy and very cloudy at times, the inner parts of Trabzon and Rize are expected to be prone to local showers and thunderstorms , and other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Air temperatures will be above seasonal norms in southern and inland areas, and around seasonal norms elsewhere. Winds will be generally light and occasionally moderate from the north, with strong short-term gales (50-70 km/h) from the north and northeast along the Marmara and northern Aegean coasts.
