"We signed export contracts for 31 products for the first time"ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, whose views were included in the statement, underlined that they were growing steadily, as revealed by the financial results.
Emphasizing that they have determined export as the number one agenda of everyone at ASELSAN, Akyol said, "We have increased the number of countries we operate in abroad to 20. We have signed export contracts with 7 countries for the first time. We have signed the first export contracts of 31 of our products. ASELFLIR - 500, which is the best camera in the world in its field, was requested from us by 16 countries in just one year. It has also become the product of the Turkish defense industry that has received the highest demand from the highest number of countries in a year."
Akyol stated that 29 new products entered the inventory in 2024 and gave examples from KORKUT, HİSAR and SİPER, ALP 300-G and ALP 100-G, MARLİN, DÜFAS and TOLUN.
Income is transformed into new investmentsAkyol noted that as a company, we have been resolutely increasing our investment expenditures at a time when there are discussions about production capacities and infrastructure deficiencies in Europe, and made the following assessments:
"We are transferring a significant portion of our income to investments that will increase our mass production capacity. In this context, we have commissioned the Electro-Optic Flir Production Facility Investment of approximately 40 million dollars and the Radar Integration Center of 50 million dollars and have achieved a significant capacity increase. In addition to our investments in mass production infrastructure, our R&D investments continue to grow. We are the company that carries out the most R&D projects in Turkey. ASELSAN's most important strength is its human resources. We work with the most qualified staff in Turkey. We are working to make this qualified staff even more qualified. Another development that made us happy was that the number of engineers living abroad and wanting to return to ASELSAN increased by more than 4 times."
"Our goal is to enter the top 30 in 2030"Akyol noted that last year, they jumped five places to 42nd place on the list of the world's largest defense industry companies, and noted the following:
"We have become one of the 10 fastest growing defense industry companies in the world. We are carrying out a comprehensive Transformation Program in order to become an even more important player in the world defense league. Under this program, which we call aselsaneXt, we are carrying out 5 main projects focused on people, process, technology, production and business development. We started to see the positive effects of aselsaneXt in its first year. Our vision is to be one of the 30 largest defense industry companies in the world by the end of 2030. Our 2024 financial results have given more than enough signs that we will implement this vision."
