ISTANBUL

SAMSUNY
Governor of Samsun, Orhan Tavlı, announced in a written statement that education was suspended for another day due to heavy snowfall throughout the province.
Tavlı stated in his statement, "Our fellow citizens of Samsun, our dear students, our valuable teachers and parents, since it is evaluated that there may be negativities such as transportation disruptions due to the heavy snowfall, frost risk and icing that continues to affect our province, as a precautionary measure, education has been suspended for 1 day on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in all official, private, formal and non-formal education institutions and rehabilitation centers affiliated with the National Education Directorate, nurseries affiliated with the Family and Social Services Directorate, and need-oriented daytime and 4-6 age Quran courses affiliated with the Mufti's Office in our province."
Pregnant women, disabled people, and mothers whose children attend nursery or kindergarten who work in public institutions will also be considered to be on 1-day administrative leave.

GIRESUN
It was reported that education was suspended today in Giresun due to snowfall.
In a written statement made by the Governorship, it was stated that education and training will be suspended for one day in all educational institutions in Giresun on Tuesday, February 25, in order to avoid any disruptions in transportation due to the heavy snowfall and the danger of frost and ice.
The statement noted that veterans, disabled and pregnant personnel in public institutions will also be considered on administrative leave today.

SINOP
Education was suspended today in Sinop due to snowfall and icing.
In the statement made by the governor's office, it was stated that the snowfall and icing throughout the city continued to have an effect.

RIZ
Education in all educational institutions in Rize and Artvin was suspended today due to snow.
In a statement made by the governor's office, it was stated that heavy snowfall and cold weather conditions continued throughout the province.
In the statement, it was stated that as a precaution against possible icing and possible negativities in transportation, and considering the safety of students and citizens, education was suspended for 1 day in all institutions on Tuesday, February 25.
It was noted that disabled employees, mothers with children under the age of 8, and pregnant personnel working in the public sector will also be considered to be on administrative leave.
Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş shared the following on his social media account: "We are under the influence of a snowfall that we have been waiting for and longing for a long time. ARTVIN
Due to the snow and cold weather in Artvin, education was suspended in all schools today.
In a statement made by the governor's office, it was noted that the heavy snowfall and cold weather conditions effective throughout the province are expected to continue today.
In the statement, drawing attention to the fact that there may be negativities in transportation due to icing, the following statements were made.
"As a precautionary measure, education has been suspended for one day on Tuesday, February 25 in all educational institutions throughout the province (kindergartens, nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, public education courses, Quran courses providing daytime education, rehabilitation centers and private courses) for the safety of our students and citizens."

ZONGULDAK
It was reported that education in Zonguldak was suspended today.
In the statement made by the Zonguldak Governorship, it was stated that some measures were taken for the safety of citizens in line with meteorological forecasts due to the risk of icing following the heavy snowfall effective throughout the city.

"In this context, all e-exam activities to be carried out in all official and private formal and non-formal education institutions, private nurseries, daycare centers, children's clubs and rehabilitation centers in our province; all kinds of in-service training and e-exam centers planned at the provincial level have been suspended for 1 day on Tuesday, February 25."

Due to the heavy icy conditions expected to affect Bartın, education in primary and secondary schools across the province has been suspended for one day today.
In the statement made by the Bartın Governorship, it was stated that according to meteorological data, there was a strong risk of icing throughout the province last night and today, and that possible disruptions in transportation and other possible negativities were being evaluated.

KASTAMONU
Due to adverse weather conditions in Kastamonu, all educational institutions in 8 districts and transported education in 2 districts were suspended today.

For this reason, it was announced that transported education was suspended in all educational institutions in the districts of Devrekani, Doğanyurt, Küre, İnebolu, Ağlı, Hanönü, Bozkurt, Şenpazar, and in the districts of Taşköprü and Cide on Tuesday, February 25.

According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the whole country will be partly and very cloudy, the surroundings of Muğla and the southern parts of Edirne and the western coastal districts of Antalya will experience rain and showers, and the Central and Eastern Black Sea Region (excluding Çorum) and the surroundings of Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Sivas, Sinop, Van and Ardahan will experience sleet and snow. Rainfall is expected to be heavy in places on the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts and around Artvin. It is estimated that there will be icing and frost along with haze and occasional fog in the northern, central and eastern parts of the country. There is an avalanche danger in the highlands of the inland areas of the Eastern Black Sea Region and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.
Heavy snowfall continues to be effective in the north of Kastamonu, Sinop, Samsun and Ordu.
