Abdullah Gül's former press advisor Ahmet Sever passed away

Ahmet Sever, a journalist who was the press advisor of the 11th President Abdullah Gül for many years, passed away in his home in Cihangir, Istanbul. It was learned that Sever died of a heart attack. It was stated that the funeral ceremony will be finalized after his family returns to Istanbul from Barcelona this morning.

WHO IS AHMET SEVER ?

Sever was born in Konya in 1960 and graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Brussels. He began his journalism career as a reporter and served as a foreign representative and manager in many media organizations. In 2003, he served as the chief press and communications advisor during Abdullah Gül 's term as Prime Minister. He continued his duty as press advisor after Abdullah Gül was elected President.
