A Visit to Traditional Production in Boğatepe, the Cheese Capital of Kars

During the visit, animals grazing in pastures were observed and producers met to evaluate animal health and productivity efforts. They also provided information on field practices and needs.
The delegation also toured the traditional dairies, a symbol of Boğatepe, and observed the cheese production process firsthand. They were briefed on the efforts being undertaken to preserve the region's natural and traditional flavors and pass them on to future generations.
Authorities emphasized that Boğatepe is one of the few natural cheese production centers not only in Türkiye but also in the world, and shared the following message:
> "We are determined to preserve our natural resources, livestock, and unique cheese tradition and carry it into the future. Every bite produced in these lands bears the traces of the labor and culture of the past."
The visit once again demonstrated Boğatepe's nature-compatible production model and the importance given to animal health.
