UEFA has imposed sanctions on the Ukrainian football club Oleksandria for the actions of fans who made racist statements during the Conference League qualifying match against Partizan Belgrade. This fact was confirmed by an official statement from the organization's press service.
The first match between the teams took place on July 25 in Poland and ended with a 2:0 victory for the Serbian club. However, after one of the goals, offensive shouts were heard from Ukrainian fans towards the Partizan and Moscow CSKA players. In the return match, where Partizan won a big 4:0 victory, Oleksandria was banned from taking to the field under the national flag.
As a punishment, the club is required to pay a fine of €20,000. In addition, UEFA warned that if a similar incident is repeated within a two-year period, part of the stands at the team's home matches will be empty.
Against the backdrop of a special military operation, Ukraine is implementing provocative measures directed against Russia.
