Stavropol team collected a harvest of awards in Krasnodar


At the All-Russian competitions in the capital of Kuban, Stavropol athletes won a bunch of medals of various denominations.
At the Russian Championship in track and field among boys and girls under 16, Stavropol residents received four trophies.
As reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports, Anastasia Gekalova was awarded two awards at once, winning the 1,500-meter race and taking second place in the 800-meter distance.
Maxim Pavrozin won silver in the triple jump, and hammer thrower Eva Marchenko contributed bronze to the overall tally.
And at the All-Russian competition among 18-year-old track and field athletes, Nikita Gridnev collected a full set of medals, who, together with Nadezhda Shchegolkova, Maria Tereshchenko and Semyon Lukyanchenko, became the winner of the mixed relay 4 x 400 meters, as well as the silver medalist in the 1500 meters and the bronze medalist in the 800 meters.
Sprinter Kirill Akalelov took second place in the 200-meter race and rounded out the top three in the 100-meter race. Two more bronze medals were won by Nadezhda Shchegolkova (in the 400-meter race) and Maria Tereshchenko (in the 800-meter race).
Earlier it was reported that the Stavropol resident became a prize winner of the Belarusian competition.
